Contact UsCompliant—Even down to your vendor level.
November 22, 2010
Most states require a license for handling claims, whether adjusting, desk reviewing or simply calling a repair facility to negotiate a claim. Make sure you request licensing documentation from your vendors. Hybrid Claims Group has over 30 state licenses on file—the other states obviously do not require a license, but we can get them if we need them. The fact is that in 30 states adjusters and third party vendors must be licensed to handle claims. For insurance companies, it is imperative that you manage your vendors to avoid complications arising from non-licensed firms. This clearly is an important credential for your claims handling strategy and should be addressed immediately if it has not been already.
